Summit Outdoor Living · Case study
Video, a quiz funnel, automated follow-up, and tighter local targeting helped a Calgary-area installer turn seasonal interest into sales conversations.
Lower lead costs, alongside a strong positive response rate.
For a local outdoor living business, starting mid-season puts pressure on every decision. Summit needed homeowners ready to talk about a project. There was little time to waste on a slow launch or enquiries that went nowhere.
But generating interest was only half the challenge. Summit was a small operation. The same business that needed more customers also had to find time to respond to them. A busy day could leave a new enquiry waiting, just when that homeowner was ready to take the next step.
We had to build demand and help Summit keep up with it.
We launched video creative and a quiz funnel to turn attention into enquiries. The videos brought Summit's offering to life. The quiz gave interested homeowners a straightforward way to get started, with an at-home consultation as the next step.
Results came quickly. That made the follow-up challenge more urgent. More enquiries would only help the business if someone could move those conversations forward.
We deployed SMAI sales automation to support the team. Automated follow-up helped keep conversations moving when Summit couldn't personally respond to every query. It helped more homeowners engage and move toward a booking, without making every interaction depend on the owner's availability.

For Summit, an interested homeowner hundreds of kilometres away was still the wrong opportunity.
We tightened targeting around its Calgary service area and added detailed geographic exclusions. We also checked where actual enquiries were coming from, rather than relying on campaign settings alone. The result was more locally relevant demand and fewer conversations about projects the team couldn't serve.
That mattered to a small business. Its time needed to go toward homeowners it could visit, advise and win as customers.
The client reported sales and revenue soon after launch. In a reviewed group of leads, 72% responded with interest during follow-up.
The value came from connecting the pieces: videos that created interest, a simple route to enquire, automated follow-up and tighter local targeting.
Summit gained more than a busy inbox. It had support turning that demand into conversations, bookings and sales while the season was still there to win.
